As they were told to leave family behind, only Nick's daughter, Kass, would tag along and disobey the rules. They discover the area in different ways than they ever thought that they would. All Three of them will find something that they never expected.

In the story we follow the happenings of a royal choosing for the next king. The choosing is far from traditional and so are the princes. Some of the characters are from the TV show Grimm such as Sean Renard, Eric Renard, and king Renard. Some are original such as Mikenna, Paula, and Sue.
