She's his everything, the only thing he has left. He has no other family, no other friends. So when she gets distant and hangs out with Vax'ildan more, he feels awful. He starts lashing out. They have a huge fight where she admits something to Percy that makes him feel like a jerk. All rights go to Critical Role. I will be going off the show.
