She forced her way into his life and there she stayed. Din Djarin didn't like not understanding things and he didn't like not understanding people. He would never understand her. But, maybe, one day, he would be okay with that. They just had to stay alive first. I was six years old when the Empire took me. They didn't ask for my name. They gave me one. Asset Six. Every year, the number changed. Asset Seven. Asset Eight. Asset Nine. Asset Ten. Asset Eleven. Asset Twelve. That is who I am now. Asset Twelve. A number. A project. Something they kept behind locked doors and bright lights, waiting for the moment they decided I was useful. Not a person. Definitely not a kid. And maybe that would have been my whole life, numbers and orders and cold rooms and people who never looked me in the eye, if the mission had not gone wrong. It was not even my fault. (Which is impressive, honestly. They usually blame me before anything even happens) One moment I was where they put me. The next, I was not. Someone else got to me first. Someone who did not care about numbers or orders or what the Empire wanted. Someone who saw me as cargo, not a weapon. I was kidnapped. Then sold. Then sold again. Niktos this time. They did not bother learning my number. They did not care enough. And just when I thought that was it, that this was the part where my story ended quietly in some back room on some forgotten planet until the lights went out for good... A Mandalorian walked in.

Lily had never truly recovered from the fall of the Empire. It had taken everything from her. Her home, her family, her sense of belonging. It left behind only scars and the hollow feeling of being forgotten by a galaxy that had already moved on. For a long time, she drifted, surviving rather than living. Until the day she crossed paths with Greef Karga, magistrate of the Bounty Hunters' Guild. He saw something in her. Potential, or maybe just desperation, and offered her work. One job turned into another, and before she realized it, Lily had built a new identity for herself: bounty hunter. Detached. Efficient. Necessary. So when a bounty unlike any other crossed her path-something described only as a "priceless experiment", she didn't hesitate. Credits like that didn't come twice. But the hunt wasn't hers alone. Somewhere along the trail, she encountered a Mandalorian. Silent, relentless, and bound by a code she couldn't quite understand. Neither trusted the other, but the job was too big to walk away from. Reluctantly, they formed an alliance. In a galaxy built on betrayal, partnerships were fragile things. And just because they were hunting together, didn't mean they weren't keeping secrets.

Halloween is in a few days away and town marshal, Cobb Vanth, is already swamped. Not only is he dealing with a reclusive farmer with anger issues and a mysterious miscreant who has been digging holes in the woods, but he's got to do it all while also fending off unwanted (and not-so-subtle) advances from his deputy. Just when he thinks his headache can't get any worse, he finds a small child on the side of the road, huddled inside a strangely carved pumpkin that they refuse to leave. Not sure what to do with either, he takes them home. Little does he know, something else follows him home that night. And it wants it's head AND it's kid back. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters from Mandalorian or its story. I am simply adding to it and wanted to keep the dialogue accurate, so if you recognize any dialogue lines, it's because it's directly from the show. Follows the show obviously. The reader was part of one of a decently influential clan of Mandalore before it fell apart (kinda like Sabine from rebels)

Tangled/Mandalorian Crossover (bc why not?) I will call the Child Grogu in this story, but he will forever be Baby Yoda in my heart. Mando was searching for more Mandalorian to help him find the child's kind. However, while doing so, he ends up picking up another Foundling on the way. He was not prepared to be taking care of a child and an unstable teenager and making sure that neither of the kids get hurt. Yet, it was so easy to grow attached to them. Cover by me
