Most of the other kids were all around the same age. She has to share a room with Asher because all the girls rooms where full. Eventually they get to be ok-ish around each other but they each have other friends in the home. They all start to realize that things aren't really that great in the home and they should do something about it. And then they had an opportunity of a lifetime, for two really smart, and troublesome teenagers that have nothing to lose, to come up with a plan they've been waiting to do for years, runaway.
