Kalani's plan when leaving for college was to never come back until she was successful. After being given 48 hours to vacate her campus, she starts her road trip home. On the way home she meets gorgeous Ash Newton, a fellow student on campus. Everything seems too good to be true when she has her group partner with her. Ash is goofy and snarky, a brightness in coming home. But there's something haunted in his eyes when he thinks no one is looking. But his aloofness with relationships confuse her with their chemistry. As questions begin to surround her new interest, she finds added responsibility in up-keeping her family's ranch. When her old boyfriend appears, Kalani must decide who she wants to be.
