Faye Porter joins this country life because she wanted change away from her stuffy family and applied for a job working on a ranch, not expecting anything except to help with records, and other things that might need help with, she gets hired. When she gets there she doesn't expect to meet what she says is the most attractive man she has ever laid her eyes on. Griffin Lawson is a country man who works on his family ranch. He has been the main guy there since his dad retired so he can spend time with family more. His brothers decide he needs help organizing stuff on the ranch so they go to hire a new employee, this is where he meets Faye. Faye and Griffin don't get along too well at first, Griffin was unaware of her being hired. The back and forth causes tension, but with tension comes feelings and those feelings for each of them turn to not bad feelings but something more.

Me, being the foolish idiot I was, didn't believe in curses. I couldn't get the man's warning out of my head. 'It might be cursed' . I found out how true that was when the people started screaming.
