They actually started pretty good until he showed that he thought so highly of himself for being a pureblood. He belittled her for being a muggleborn which resulted to her feeling inferior. She had to prove him wrong. Along the way of their rivalry for the top ranks in school, they came into a certain point to actually becoming friends and then even more. What could have happened between them? Why did she end up with Ron? This book answers those questions. It would tell you their story that was out of Harry's perspective.
