After another long day at work, Ryujin reaches out to her girlfriend, Chaeryeong-only to be met with cold replies and excuses. Their once warm relationship now feels like a routine of silence and distance, leaving Ryujin questioning if love is still there at all. On her walk home, a strange encounter with an energetic girl shoves a mysterious flier into her hands: Rent Company-love, attention, no strings attached. Ryujin laughs it off, but when she sees the photo of a girl named Yeji, something in her stirs. She tells herself she loves Chaeryeong, she tells herself she isn't desperate... but late at night, with no texts, no calls, and only loneliness for company, Ryujin can't shake the image of Yeji's smile from her mind.

He was beautiful. That was always the first thing I thought every time I would see him. His dark hair and brown eyes. The straight slope of his nose and the arch of his brow. A sharp jawline and full lips. He was absolutely stunning. But what made him beautiful wasn't his looks. He had a kind heart. A heart of gold that never missed a chance to help someone in need. He would laugh with you and he would cry with you. He would stand with you when no one else will. That was what made him beautiful. But the thing is, you can't keep beautiful things. You just have to let them be. They come and go, they grow and they change. Beautiful things are actually sad to look at, because you know that they will always be out of reach. When you are not as pretty as them, you are shunned and pushed aside. So you do what you do best, you just look and be happy for all the love they receive. I see a breathtaking person every single day, and my heart soars and shatters at the exact same time. Because he was absolutely beautiful. And it was always a reminder, that he could never be mine.
