Plus, there's the gallant guardsmen...the big bad bandits (Bog, Hog, Log and Fred-he's adopted)...and a royal castle complete with all sorts of quirky characters. Also includes the crazy cooking witches who are addicted to coffee and card games. Most importantly, is Lolly, the petite witch with a huge heart-who, with her cheery cherry cheesecakes with lots of pink frosting-learns where she truly belongs. My first review!!: "Lolly is a really fun read, and as stated, good for kids of all ages. It paints a picture, using imaginative, descriptions, and astounding, artful alliterations. What was really interesting for me in reading this as an adult is that it is written in joyful spirit. It's fun the whole time. Of course there's dramatic tension, but if you grab any page at all and read it, it's lovely. It's happy. It really creates a sustaining positive state in the reader. The characters are inventive and visual as you see it in your mind. I think it would work for little kids, as a great story to read to them over several nights. It would be good for older kids. After Copper-9 goes dark, the company decides to deploy a single cruiser to find out what has happened. It's presumed the local worker drones had gone rogue. Yet, the threat may be more complicated than a few rogue drones for the taint of corruption runs deep, as the Solver is Absolute in it's directive. The situation rapidly deteriorates, and a threat rises that may threaten all that humanity has built up to this point. The final hope of humanity rests upon the chosen of the company. But even in the face of an otherworldly invasion mankind refused to lay down and die, and thus with the aid of NATO, EU, UN and many other alliances, a Coalition force of volunteers from around the world was formed and financed, created specifically to try and fight this unknown foe aswell as aid local national forces which had already mobilized and fully engaged the incursion on their borders. Sergeant Major Faris Kotroman, Sergeant Quentin McCalley, Corporal Preston Glina and Corporal Moritz "Moe" Schrader are such soldiers, men who willingly took up arms to defend their homes and fellow humans against whatever the hell this unknown incursion was, yet the first engagement against a major force of such creatures saw the local national force alongside forces of the Coalition retreat in terror, these four men were lucky enough to find one another by sheer luck. Yet before they could celebrate the fact they had indeed found one another in the bloody aftermath of battle, another smaller rift opens right in front of them...
