Into The Rift AU is an SMG4 alternate universe made by @glamman where the sacrifice of Mr. Puzzles and Mr. WPNZ doesn't result in their end. After the whole massacre and brutal fight between Puzzles and WPNZ, the group of unstoppable souls split up- betrayed, led on, angry at one another. Puzzles felt a looming sense of guilt hanging over his TV head, and tried everything he could to forgot anything had happened and move on...which is what he would've done in the past. WPNZ on the other hand was still on the run with his goopy companion, Toomp, from the dangerous protocol known as the Death Cube. He was blinded by his own rage, and turned it onto the SMG4 crew. Until, he wasn't the biggest threat he was dealing with. When all odds seemed impossible for WPNZ and the crew, someone witty and selfless braved for their safety... ...but would face the consequences to protect his only friends he had left.

But, they had guessed wrong, and the threat of the most powerful weapon had broken him out of jail. Mr. Puzzles needed a plan to take his revenge on the people who turned his act away, who broke him and his dreams...and he knew one person that was PERFECT for the role. SMG4 doesn't watch his back, and eventually, he was taken away from his home. He came face to face with his nemesis of those two years, Mr. Puzzles. The blue meme guardian had forcefully been mind controlled and changed into the beast he was before back when that perfect video was yearning to be seen. And someone sensed that he was in trouble. SMG3 knew something was off, something was not right. His partner, his friend, he wasn't home. And he knew he needed to save him from whoever took him out of his grasp, ASAP. But it didn't come without a few consequences...

Mario enters a raffle, thinking that he's going to earn free spaghetti, but instead he signs up for a free trip to the Mushroom Kingdom Beach Resort, complete with a limo and everything. He didn't think he'd actually win, but now he has the opportunity to invite all his closest friends and three more additional people, who he picks on a whim. As tensions between the crew and the three anti-heroes rise, secrets come to light and feelings are caught, making everyone confused. The truth exposed and now alone, Mr. Puzzles feels guilt for the first time in his selfish life. Now... he has to make it right. It won't be easy to regain his trust, however.
