After the events of Shibuya in the last book, Nariko's sacrifice makes it way too much easier for Gojo Satoru to kill and win against the traps of Geto and his minions. While everyone goes through the stages of grief, the number of killings in the jujutsu community increases drastically. On investigating the matter more thoroughly, Gojo comes to the conclusion of something dire and at once, contacts everyone to get ready for battle. When no solution emerges, he knows who to use to get the job done but the person is traumatized enough, with his long, spiky black hair covering up his tears now and then. Everything is far too risky and the only thing he can do is clear as his other special grade students seem to be working together and planning something. But that would mean that all peace and balance would be destroyed and that if he didn't, hundreds or even thousands would perish without trace.
