Sequel to Lucky Number V. It's been a few weeks since Vee's encounter with the Bloodhound and there hasn't been any sign of magic in Gravesfield since. However, Vee remains alert, not wanting anyone to be harmed, especially her new friend Audrey, who's excited for homecoming. Though Vee isn't sure, she thinks going to the dance would be a great experience. But, things become a lot more complicated when Luz returns from the Demon Realm and brings along her friends, who have no way back. Now, Vee must figure out what to do now that the real Luz is back, and with the basilisk's friends getting suspicious, she's left with the question of whether or not to reveal her true identity.

It was a frenzied period of transition for everyone in the Boiling Isles. Belos was dead, the Day of Unity crisis was averted, the covens fell into disarray and fought amongst themselves for control of the empire, despite the Titan having chosen a successor. The Isles were teeming with new life after the conflict, courtesy of the new Empress. Under her rule, magic was no longer restricted and witches were free to pursue any types they wished. Eight years after the fall of Belos, the Owl House disappeared, its inhabitants nowhere to be found, save two. Ten years since she first set foot in the Demon Realm, Luz Noceda has settled in the city of Caja Torácica and married her longtime girlfriend, Amity Blight. They moved into the apartment above Viney's veterinary clinic together and began a new chapter in their lives founding Noceda Bounty Hunting and General Services. They don't know what became of their surrogate family, but they won't give up their search for the Owl House. Luz and Amity Noceda had thought their adventuring days were behind them, but with new career opportunities, encounters with beings from another Titan, corporate espionage, a looming confrontation with the notorious Owl Lady, and the prospect of beginning a family, they might be in for their wildest years yet.

Ariana Noceda is Luz Noceda's older sister who worked under the infamous Emperor Belos and decided to leave once she found out his true intentions for the day of unity. But now she's back ready fight side by side with her sister. All characters besides Ariana are not mine they belong to Dana Terrace.
