She saw how much of a jerk her brother was so she ended up with a hatred for all jocks. She was also heartbroken by a jock, so she was held a grudge for that reason, but when the ducks come town she meets Guy Germaine, maybe he can soften her touch and change her mind about jocks. Tarynn had two rules going into all of this, don't fall in love, and if you do, don't fall for a jock.

I decided to write this after seeing an edit of gonnie with the song 'the girl is mine', hence the title of this story. With their busy lives of hockey, friendships and the struggles of being teens growing up, Guy Germaine and Connie Moreau can no longer keep up with their once innocent puppy love relationship. How will they manage this breakup if they have to see each other everyday for hockey? Can they really be just friends?

Isla loved Eden Hall. She didn't love it because of how good the school itself was or because of all the cute boys all around campus. Isla loved Eden Hall because of her best friend and their incredible music department. Anyone who knew her knew that she was completely and utterly obsessed with music and that she was meant to pursue it. Anyone who knew her also knew that there was one thing she hated more than anything in the world. Jocks. She couldn't stand them. They were so arrogant and they all thought that they were better than everyone else just because they could play a sport. She didn't get why they thought that they could do whatever they wanted but she did know one thing. She didn't like it. The second Guy Germaine saw Isla he wanted to know more about her. Her style stuck out to him and he rarely ever saw her without headphones in. While he was thankful they had multiple classes together, Isla was less than happy. She didn't like how he always tried talking to her or would walk her to her next class. And she definitely didn't like how he was a jock. What will happen with Isla and Guy? Will Isla eventually give in to Guys constant annoyance? Does the line of annoyance and comfortability start to blur? Or has Isla eventually had enough?

sawyer nguyen: eden hall's one and only female varsity player. she had skipped the sixth grade, making her a sophomore at the age of a freshman. this was her second year on varsity, and she had learned that if she just kept her head down, she could avoid the trouble. she hated their attitudes and their superiority complex, but she didn't have a choice when it came to being on the team. she was on scholarship, and if she wasn't on varsity, she would lose everything she had been working for. but, when adam banks comes along, she thinks maybe this year won't be so bad. with another person her age on the team, with similar morals, it might just be the change she's been looking for. adam hated that he had been put on varsity, but he knew his dad would kill him if he passed up this opportunity. and when he met sawyer, his whole attitude towards the team changed. it was still pretty bad, but she might just be the silver lining he was looking for.
