This story takes place in the League of Legends universe. It is recommended that you understand what the Ruination Event is and how Gwen ties into all of it. In a nutshell, a doll was created centuries ago by a woman named Isolde, Isolde would late marry Prince Viego. In a failed assassination attempt, Isolde loses her life and Viego tries a ritual to bring her back to him. The ritual goes terribly wrong and it brings upon the Ruination event. Centuries later, the doll Isolde create, Gwen, comes to life and brings an end to Viego and the ruination with the help from the Sentinels of Light. This story is about the aftermath of the Ruination and how Gwen explores the world with her newfound life.
