Gwenwyn is the most miserable princess ever, and for good reason. Merely brushing up against her or touching her exposed skin is enough to cause painful burns, or worse. And if that wasn't enough, she's just discovered the singular reason for her existence - to act as the king's secret assassin, murdering neighbouring princes with nothing more than a simple kiss.

She was born Princess Gwenwyn Helena Anannet Egger, first-born child of the Great King Heralf, ruler of the Militant Kingdom of Rramnon. Shortly after her sixteenth birthday, Gwenwyn's father sent her to the Trade Kingdom, Terrafeuw, with a very special task. She was to gain the hand of the King Griggory so that her heirs, and next rulers of the Terrafein throne would be loyal to Rramnon. She accepts the task and manages to gain the favor of the elderly King, but then something happens that threatens to destroy her father's scheme. She falls in love. The brighter a light shines, the darker the shadows around it will appear. Now the only question is- How high of a price is Gwenwyn willing to pay for her own happiness?
