Armed with his sword and wolf companion Sif, he decides to battle an ancient evil that was stirring in the darkness of a mysterious land of Oolacile. The darkness of Manus, the Primeval Man, Father of the Abyss. Artorias believed that he would be able to defeat such a foe, but ended up being consumed by the very darkness he wished to rid from the world. Now broken, he awaits his death anxiously, in hopes to finally be free. When he does die however, something happens that he doesn't expect. He finds himself where dragons are both, his allies and his enemies. Where elves, dwarves, and demonic creatures called urgals live amongst humans. He finds a world ripe with stories and light, and finds that he was given a second chance. At a holy crusade once again. But will he truly be rid of the darkness that consumed him?
