Hi Readers! This is my fluffy oneshot take on Gwyn receiving the necklace left to her in Azriel's ACOSF POV. While there should be no "as of yet" canon spoilers, I shall indeed put in a spoiler warning for those who have not read ACOSF or the Azriel POV. I own absolutely nothing! Azriel notices there's something wrong with Elain. She's trying to hide something from him, and has been pulling away from the Inner Circle for months. Before he can find out what, however, his shadows are cursed, rendering his magic useless. At a loss, Azriel enlists Gwyn to help research and hopefully lift the curse, before Elain can do something she regrets. This will be a medium-burn gwynriel and a slightly dark!Elain story. The preface takes place in ACOSF (specifically the Az bonus chapter) while the rest of the story is post-ACOSF. Rated M for future lemons.

After all, he was the one who saved her from the Hybern soldiers that fateful night, and it was her who will unknowingly save him from himself. the characters and world all belong to SJM! not me, this is a work of fan fiction but the plot is mine :)

[Gwynriel Week 1 Day 4 "You're the new ribbon, Az"] Gwyn overhears females at the library planning on gaining Azriel's affections. She becomes emotional over the notion and decides that it's time to take matters into her own hands and step out of the library to claim her male.

The Challenge: a friendly game of capture the flag. The Terms: If Gwyn can get the flag by sunset on the second day, Az will give her whatever lessons she want. But if he has the flag, Gwyn must agree to let him make the training lesson plans without her looking over his shoulder. The Wager: Bragging rights. Az admitting that he was wrong. That sort of thing. Possibly even their hearts.
