This is a story I wrote a while back about a gymnast who is going through a major life roller coaster and just trying to get through this hard life and hand she has been dealt. Bouncing from injury to injury definitely is not an enjoyable life and being in and out of the hospital so much that the entire staff basically knows you by name.

The problem isn't that the United States hasn't won an Olympic event in 8 years. The problem is that someone is preventing them from doing so. My gymnastics coach gave me this journal so I could keep track of my progress. I'm starting classes at a new gym, and my goal is to make the Gold lev competitive team. McKenna (She's my coach) thinks I can do it, but I'm still nervous because this is the first time I'll be doing gymnastics without my best friend, Katie, by my side. I'm doing something else this summer without Katie: going to horseback riding camp! I've never been on a horse before so I'm 'ner-cited'. (That's my Family's word for being nervous and excited all at once.) The next few weeks are going to be an adventure!
