April Ever since she stepped on that beam I knew she could go far. She was steadier than everyone in her preschool gymnastics class. It's a lot to expect from a two year old, but I wanted her to be good. Better than I was. I could've stayed in gymnastics. I could be going to the Rio 2016 Olympics. But I quit when I was six. I threw it all away. She struggled to stand up in her somersault. I laughed, it was cute. I looked through the waiting room window. I watched the boys' team practice. Wow, they were amazing. I was only ten at the time, and my mind wasn't focused on gymnastics. I loved cheerleading, I'm glad I did it. My mom said that she was really good, a prodigy. The coach wanted to put her in his advanced class. She said yes. That was the best decision she ever made.
