A dystopian love story: In the not-too-distant future, castaway Milo washes up on Garbage Island, a living environment evolved from society's massive stash of trash that has been sucked into the Pacific Gyre. The denizens of Garbage Island have mutated into various hybrids of synthetic chemicals and human DNA and they live in a world constructed from the garbage, refuse, and flotsam and jetsam that has whornadoed their way. Milo falls in love with Maggiebeaux, of the Nanopleep tribe but his very existence is threatened by the evil Petroleans and Chloridians who want to harvest his organic DNA. There’s more, lots more, but I thought I’d put Chapter 1 up here on Wattpad and see what happens.

This is a continued installment of the Wolves of the Beyond series by Kathryn Lasky. I do not own rights to the series she has written, or to any of the characters. At the end of the Wolves of the Beyond series, we find out that the wolves all make it to the Distant Blue. But what happens after that? In GYRE WOLF, Faolan learns more of his heritage, his past selves, and most importantly, how to survive in this new, yet old world.
