Persephone has been sheltered by her mother for her whole life, kept away from the rest of the gods and from the wonders of Mount Olympus. But when her best friend dies, Demeter finally allows Persephone to accompany her to the home of the Olympians for the winter solstice meeting, hoping to shake off some of her daughter's sadness. It is there that Persephone meets Hades, the Ruler of the Underworld. Cold, enigmatic, and distant, he is the last person Persephone ever thought that she would become close to. However in a twist of fate, the two immortals are thrown together. Alone in the cold land of the dead, the goddess of spring must learn to trust Hades, and in doing so she might even come to love him.

Mortals keep secrets in their hearts, some locked away for their whole life and take them to the grave. But what if some are kept by Olympians themselves, for over millennials. A simple argument led to unveil of those secrets. Hades and Persephone is a story that has so many different sides to it. Some people romanticize their relationship (often without taking into account certain aspects of the myth) while others insist that Hades was nothing but perverse and awful... even though taking Persephone, after having her father's permission, was quite normal for the time! This is a retelling of the ancient myth, with all the ancient components to it. I researched the story from many different sources and tried to make it as accurate as possible. The only writer's license was the amount of time she spent in the Underworld before Hermes came-- I never found an exact number, so I wrote it as six months, partly so that they had time to truly fall for each other, partly so that she would return to the mortal realm immediately after being returned to Demeter. Persephone is a character who understands the place goddesses and women have in the world, understands the normalcy of her capture, but still struggles with feeling like it's unjust. Hades is a god with few romantic relationships in his past (Leuce and Minthe) who hadn't fallen for anyone for a while and wasn't quite sure how to treat a goddess in a realm he never visited. This is the story.

Long before Hades devised his evil scheme to take over Mount Olympus, he was once married to the beautiful goddess of spring. But seeing as he focused on defeating his brother, the goddess left him, never telling him about the child she was carrying. Years later, (y/n), the daughter of Persephone has been living her life peacefully on Mount Olympus. She goes to Olympus Academy, along with other young gods and goddesses, has good grades, and is captain of the environment club. What more could she ask for? Well, she would like to meet her father and get her siblings to acknowledge her. The young goddess has never met the man her mother is madly in love with. So when he happens to show up again, (y/n) and her mother believes that this is their chance to reunite as a family. But when he reveals to have had another daughter with the Mistress of Evil, Maleficent, (y/n) now has to readjust to her parents rekindling their love and getting along with her half-sister Mal. But (y/n) has been put under so much pressure by her mother and siblings, that every time her elder sister Melione talks down to her, (y/n) would keep her feelings to herself. That was until a fight with Melione got her so angry until she finally reveals powers that she never knew she had. Could the VKs help Mal's new half-sister control these powers and get her siblings to get along with each other? Would a certain charming pirate be the key to handling her magic? The pomegranate family of Hades and Persephone only consisted of four children: Zagreus the oldest the one who took the responsibility of the older sibling worked hard to prove his worth to his father he also successfully escaped the underworld with the help of nyx and thanatos. Melinoe the second oldest the one who always had the talent of magic she grew up knowing her parents through her aunt and God mother hecate she is a powerful sorceress having the control of hell flame. Hatsune the third oldest the stars, flowers and spirit lover when she was young she had to learn how to survive on her own figuring out herself who her parents were and her powers were hard to control. She doesn't open up fully about her past and every time that topic comes she would not cooperate. Nico the youngest the one who control the ghost army with all his power keeping them at bay from harming his friends but yet he was labeled as traitor to the camp half blood because of him telling them about his father's warning and because of who his father was yet his sister hazel always seemed to be the Apple of their eye when he was shunned behind from everything. this family will reunite fighting the forces of the evil primordial. The time keeper has been redeemed by his flaws and had joined hands with his son even if he doesn't see him as his own father from his eyes. The sea and thunder shall fall from it's wrath only to be saved by deaths hand. The star might suffer the same only to be rescued by the angel of death. This idea came from Rick Riordan's book series The Trials of Apollo. I do not own any of these characters, they are either Rick's original characters or came from Greek/Roman mythology. In story, none of the events of TOA have occurred, but the Giant War has ended. SPOILER WARNING: Also, I've decided to have Octavian alive. Down in the Underworld, Hades wasn't judging souls fast enough and was being too negligent of his duties as Lord of the Dead. This resulted in way too many souls becoming stuck in the in between and roaming around Earth as ghosts. As punishment, Zeus decided to turn Hades and Persephone mortal, and they now have to capture some "VIP" ghosts that escaped the Underworld with the help of Nico di Angelo, and Reyna and Hylla Ramirez-Arellano in order to get back into Zeus's good graces. TRIGGER WARNING: I discuss topics of abuse and depression in this story. It isn't the main plot point, but these topics will be touched on. I will do my very best to write about them in a respectful manner, and if you have any pointers on how I can be more sensitive towards these topics, feel free to share them with me. This telling of Hades and Persephone I did for a school project and is super short, just a one pager. It was for a vocabulary assignment so sorry if it's not stellar.
