What began as a chessboard became a garden-of grief and laughter, faith and forgetting. Of fathers who never sat on thrones. Of men holding the wrong flowers on blind dates. Of a lab explosion and a Marble Queen shaking her head. Melancholia is a collection of haiku that echoes the sentiments of the young generation today, who have silently fought hard lately in order to survive. These youths happened to live in a sad generation with happy faces; they tend to be strong and independent. Nonetheless, they cried in silence due to the constant anxiety they felt, the loneliness they tried to ignore every night, and the fear of not meeting any expectations in life. Why only to survive and not live? Sadly, living is quite expensive, and everyone in this vicious and unjust society cannot afford it easily.
