What began as a chessboard became a garden-of grief and laughter, faith and forgetting. Of fathers who never sat on thrones. Of men holding the wrong flowers on blind dates. Of a lab explosion and a Marble Queen shaking her head. I fell for the warmth that knew it wouldn't last.

The city of thorns glowed with electric sorrow.

Your presence felt like being understood without having to explain.

In 2026 I challenged myself to write a haiku every day, in the morning. This is an archive of all of them, updated daily with a new poem. I am definitely not a poet, so apologies if they are amateurish. Thank you for reading!

I feel the tide beneath me, yet fire is what I become.

The purpose of this book is to just to write 37 random haikus that I wrote dedicated to education since I know many people started school today. So, enjoy reading these haikus and enjoy another year of school.
