The heir of the demon king Tooru suddenly becomes extremely sick, and is bedridden he was always a sick child resulting in him being kept away from others only five servants including his twin brother and father know he exists, Unfortunately Tooru's mother was killed by demon hunters when he was a frail baby this resulted in his father hating humans with a burning passion. One night when Tooru was sleeping peacefully in his room as he coughed up blood the royal palace was attacked and his father died, Tooru had no idea what was going on until his twin brother Koshi runs into his room and lifts him up running to a secret passageway that they hid in alot as kids. Koshi held Tooru close as their home was burning into flames, apparently the other demons held a rebellion against the king and killed him but they had no knowledge that he had two sons because they weren't allowed outside the castle.. Koshi knows that Tooru was frail and they were still children, they were only ten years old.. due to shock from seeing his father killed in front of him Koshi resented the demon race, Tooru being on the verge of death and Koshi having no where else to go he decides to run to the human realm and they hide there luckily their horns weren't developed nor was their tails or wings so they blended into the human realm quite comfortably, unfortunately Koshi passes out due to lack of food and blood, Tooru wakes up three days later and meets Duke Atlas and his three sons the dukes younger sons Atsumu and Osamu suggest that their father adopted the two young devil princes, Duke Atlas accepted and the emperor also accepted this request made by his most trusted friend. After ten years of being in the human realm Tooru blended in quite nicely and so did Koshi they were living better than in the demon realm, but unfortunately they had to go into hiding so the emperor asked if they would work for his sons and they accepted. Tooru and Koshi could die at any moment within the castle walls..
