It is a school only accepting the best high school students in their field, created for hope, perfectly suiting its name. 16 Ultimate Students, trapped in the school, by a bear with the stupidest bear puns, with only one way out, to kill each other. People were desperate, desperate to leave the school, they would do whatever it takes, only to regain their freedom.

Hope's Peak Highschool is a prestigious school known throughout all of the country. Tuition is free, and to go there you only need to meet one requirement: Being the best of the best at what you do. Shouyo Hinata is different, though. He doesn't have a talent. He was chosen to go to this school by sheer luck, making him the Ultumate Lucky Student. Compared to the other students, though, this isn't much of an accomplishment. On what was supposed to be his first day at the school, he passes out the second he walks in the door. he tries to escape, but by then it was too late. This danganronpa had already begun.
