Hailey and Jay have been married for 4 years and have been wanting to start a family.

There were two people Jay loved most in the world, they kept him anchored and he kept them safe, but how would he react if he was faced with a situation where he couldn't keep either of them safe?

The holiday season wasn't particularly Haileys favourite time of the year, but she always held a special place for Christmas in her heart but unfortunately most if not all of her happy memories of Christmas as a kid were tainted. Only one person could change that for her though. or my take on what Upsteads Christmases over the years would look like.

Jay Halstead takes Hailey out on a date for Valentine's Day and he has a surprise for her and Hailey has a secret

Lila Halstead is the daughter of detective Jay Halstead, and Detective Hailey Upton, who work in the Intelligence unit of Chicago P. D. in the 21st district. Lila is best friends with Alexa and Katie (from the show Alexa&Katie). Lila was diagnosed with leukemia when she was only 13, a year before Alexa. Alexa, Katie, Lila's parents, her older brother Levi, and the whole of the intelligence unit, along with Lori and Dave Mendoza (Alexa's parents), Lucas Mendoza (Alexa's older brother), Jennifer Cooper (Katie's mom), and Jack Cooper (Katie's younger brother) stood by Lila's side, and supported her through her battle. Now, Lila is in remission but another challenge surfaces, Alexa, at 14, is diagnosed with leukemia. Lila, Katie, along with their families, and Alexa's family, stick By Alexa, offering the support and encouragement she needs. Lila, having faced the battle against leukemia, understands what Alexa is going through and takes out of her own experience what Alexa may need. The girls are now heading into freshman year in high-school. Hailey and Jay have been married 16 years and have a 15 year old daughter called Bella who suffers from bullying and has developed a eating disorder. Will it be to late to help her? They also have a 3 year old German shepherd called max who was a bomb detection dog for the US military but was injured during a fight in Afghanistan, and now goes to work with Jay and Hailey and loves playing tug of war with jay and playing fetch with Hailey and Bella. On marriage paper they are jay and Hailey Halstead but to avoid confusion at work Hailey chooses to use her maiden name of Upton as it would be too confusing if they were both known as Halstead at work, but anywhere else she is known as Hailey Halstead. Just as a heads up their will be minimal "speaking" parts from them as I can not think of that many parts for that many characters.hope you enjoy!
