Hailey Upton-Halstead received a call while at work one day that she never thought she'd get. She had a little sister, barely 4 years old, abandoned at Chicago Med, beaten. Her mother had signed custody over to her and fled. Now she had a decision to make with her husband, Jay. Set starting towards the end of season 5; Hailey and Jay are married but no one in the unit (except Voight and Trudy) knows.

But when his Sergeant and his new partner force him to go to a psychologist, Jay eventually agrees. But what happens when he besides the psychologist, agrees to go to a peer support group? What happens when he meets other people with PTSD? And what happens when his attention is attracted to a particular girl, who finds it more difficult than him to talk about why she is there? Who is she and what will happen when she convinces Jay to make their list? Can they help each other overcome their fears? ! Sorry for any mistakes. English is not my native language. Hey guys, so a lot have asked and I'm stuck on my other Linstead fanfic so I might start writing a sequel to my last one that everyone loved! It will be set in the future with their children in their late teenage/young adult lives. Erin and Jay will still be working in intelligence. I still want them to be kinda young in this so I'm going to base it so they are around 46 that means Erin would have had their first baby at 26 so just pretend they were this young in the other story.
