Haley thinks highly of herself and doesn't take kindly to people hurting the people she cared for. That includes the local farmer that she befriended. she doesn't know how to handle when he passes and his granddaughter, that abandoned him, shows up trying to take his place in the community. When the younger sister of the farmer blows into town after getting into some trouble in the city, she catches the eye of Haley, the town valley girl who no one really seems to know. In the weeks leading up to the Winter Star festival, Willow decides to take it upon herself to fix up the old community center and save it from a dark fate. Meanwhile, Haley finds the newcomer's exploits far too charming to not be suspicious. Willow appears to be getting attention from everyone in town, especially from Haley's crush, Abigail. As Haley struggles with Willow's presence shaking up the town, she also starts developing other feelings toward her that she never saw coming. The two will soon find out what gifts Winter Star has in store for them.
