It is important to know that the character "Blade" AKA, "Abused And Neglected Male Reader" originated from KruzKabel's "Burning Rose" RWBY Fanfiction, later unofficially adopted by Mirabeau Studios (For full transparency I'll be basing my interpretation off of the latter's, but credit is due, without KruzKabel's love and passion, Mirabeau's iteration and this story would not even exist). To any of the above associated creators that come across this from their respective creative works, please don't misunderstand or misconstrued, this is an earnest work of passion, so I hope if any of you stumble upon this and curiously choose to read it, my love for your work earnestly comes through to you.

It was a day like any other in Anime Toon City, shooting, slicing, explosions, dancing skeletons, towering dank tank engines and Gundams boogieing and battling, all with a swamp ogre squabbling with an American senator over the mother of all omelettes, yada yada, just the ordinary. And in that normal city, the young couple Azure Aquarius and Ruby Rose were together having just filmed their next video for the Mirabeau Studios YouTube Channel! As the romantic pair stepped outside for a breather, something strange would soon catch the eye of Azure and change the trajectory of his life forever... Or maybe, it didn't! And y'know? That's just perfectly fine. / / Author's Notes: While I'm writing a sincerely serious RWBY AU implementing characters and various elements from Mirabeau Studios works into the world of Remnant, from their OC Azure Aquarius to things like Half Life lore, Hunt Down The Freeman content, Metal Gear, Fate etc. (There's a list, imagine Fate's Artoria Pendragon and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance's Steven Armstrong both as Vale council members having a serious discussion on Remnant politics.) ...I wanted to write something more faithful to Mirabeau's original work, specifically the channel's "classic era"? A world that has half ended. There is now only utter control of the entire planet by a few chosen leaders. Labor is forced upon everyone, corruption oppresses the unfortunate, many people are killed daily. In this world, we follow a story lead by a young boy named Felix, who later meets another young boy named Mundy. The two become close, as they have to survive the world that wants them dead.

The world is at peace, the combine has finally been defeated by a ragtag team of rebels led by Gordon Freeman, and everyone is starting to look move on from the past and towards the bright future ahead of them. As newer generations who didn't fight in the war for earth start growing up, so does there courage for investigating the remnants of the previous alien occupation. Fortunately no harm had come from such excursions into the unknown. However, when a certain scientists daughter investigates complaints about a haunted mine in a remote wheat field. She soon finds out that sometimes the past is best left buried and forgotten. Will she end up surviving the ghosts of the past, or will she end up making the same mistake they did almost a century ago. Either way a powerful force to be reckoned with has now been awakened and the earth will never be the same again, whether it's for the better or the worst is a decision left in her hands if she likes it or not.

After the Combine's defeat, the G-Man departs to another universe, with his iconic suitcase and mysteriousness, and the world he chooses to do his stuff is called... Remnant. What are G-man's intentions on this world?

That is all set to change, as new variables come to assist mankind
