Like the book immediately proceeding it in my collection of works, I have written it in the style of a textbook, out of curiosity as to whether such a thing would work or not. A group of halflings come together to form a group they call the Halfling Society of the Righteous. They are all extremely powerful and their half-blooded nature makes them rare creatures. Magic flows through all of them, but one of them is more powerful than the rest. When the halflings discover that one of their own was killed, things snowball from there. Yet perhaps they were mislead. Now, seemingly trapped in the world of demons, called the Underrealm, they are faced with the fact that the realm itself is dying, and if the Underrealm dies, so will the rest of them. And only Ayla and her friends can stop this from happening. They will not have to undertake this adventure alone, but it will be hard. Friends old and new will help, but there is another dark force which lurks in the background, and it is consolidating powers. It will strike when they least expect it to...

this is a relatively truthful retelling of the DnD campaign I run. changed some of the dialogue, added to the scenes and I can't for the life of me remember the scenes in the beginning so I improvised. This story features sexual jokes and descriptions, some gore and references to assault, slavery, war and prosecution. If you do not like these themes, this story is not for you. roughly 300 years ago, nobody knows why, the leaders of two of the five kingdoms started to wage war against the fire plane, pulling the others in with them. the chances looked grim for the humans, but amidst the chaos emerged the rumour of an elven artifact, powerful enough to enchant items as large as a ballista in a matter of seconds, and give weapons godlike powers, appropriately named "the elven eye". the high elves, who were said to be the only ones who knew the true whereabouts of the artifact, refused cooperation, perhaps to avoid more bloodshed, perhaps to distance themselves. this was, however, taken as ill will towards the humans and favour to the soldiers of the fire plane, which caused king Roicc of the silver tundra to open a hunt on them. many were killed, families torn apart, children enslaved. nothing became of this bloodshed, the elven eye remained a secret, and after their loss, the entire western hemisphere being walled off from the remaining world by fire as punishment, the new queen of the lake castle declared the prosecution of any other creature, including elves, as illegal and immoral, doing her best to crack down on any slave trade and illegal hunters, and to reunite the elves. now, 200 years later, things have become more normal. the last spoils of war are long gone, and all that is left is a faint memory of dark times... but all dark times leave something behind... Something that lingers and waits to strike at the right time.

Love can overcome all, but every so often it needs a little bit of assistance. Kelbrix and I were lucky enough to have assistance from the goddess Hagora herself. Let me share with you how it happened. A direct spinoff story from my previous published work, Immortality, however I don't believe Immortality has to be read in order that this short tale can be enjoyed. This is a short story featuring Lok and Kelbrix, two characters, one ogre and one halfling, introduced in chapter 16 of the main Immortality story. A short note of reminder, the characters are NOT human in any way, and in this world, both halflings and ogres reach the age of consent at 14 years old.
