Sadira is half vampire, half human. She's the only one of her kind. She doesn't have the crazy, out-of-this-world back story, because she wasn't a miracle baby. She was a mistake. Her parents had no idea they were vampires, and the entire supernatural population has wanted her dead since the day she was born- including her father.
When Sadira is threatened by a person- and an army- she can't refuse, she finds out about unknown powers, and secrets no one could have possibly known about.
Death, heartbreak, magic and more death, this war is one that could end up with a sacrifice no one intended.

Sadira bint Nadir. Long, weird name, right? You might be wondering what it means. Church moms say it means 'Ostrich.' My family says it means 'star of the dearly beloved.' Kids at school say it means 'evil incarnate.' My friends say it means 'misunderstood blood.'
I, personally, think it means 'freak.'
Because of my long and confusing name, I've always went by Ira. To my very few friends. Outside of my inner circle, no one is really brave enough to talk to me, much less be my friend.
I can't blame them though. My dad is on the board of education, and I can practically get away with murder. I can, and I have.
