Hallie Anderson, a young girl, orphaned at age ten, and her twin sister Josephine, have alternated friends' homes each year. Now they are fifteen and will be able to live alone. However, on their fifteenth birthday, something happens to Hallie. She is immediately (or so she thinks) to transferred to this other realm called Laywien.

Hallie lives in the Triple-Circle Society. The Society is perfect, it's flawless. At least Hallie thinks so until she finds out a plan to kill all the Fehlers in The Society. Fehlers are people who have special powers. And Hallie is one.

Hallie Anderson is your typical 17 year old. She gets good grades, watches too much TV and generally tries not to think too far beyond graduation. As she enters her senior year at Madison High School she decides to try and let loose and enjoy her last year of being young and irresponsible, but sometimes the best plans can get sidetracked... especially where Daniel Hernandez is involved.

"Are you the only family of Hallie?" The doctor asked him. "Y-yes." He sighed pushing his sweaty hair behind with his tired bloody fingers. "Who are you, may I ask? Her brother?" The doctor asked lowly, his white hair and thick moustache making Bradley sweat. "No. I'm her father." He simply replied. "You seem young. Where is the mother?" The old doctor asked slightly disgusted by Bradley. "Dead." He sniffed. His head started to spin. The doctor was asking too many questions. "I'm sorry to hear that." The doctor cleared his throat mentally slapping himself for asking such a grim question. This made it harder for him to tell this 22 year old boy. "Your daughter has stomach cancer. Last stage." He said softly. His stomach doing back flips looking at Bradley's face fall. "How long does she have doctor?" Bradley shook his head locking his hands above it. "She is dying Bradley.
