This is my first official Hollow Knight story(I say that because I did a Hollow Knight and Ori crossover when I wrote The Lights in the Dark), and honestly, I love this adorable ship so I'm like let's do a story on it! After my version of dream no more, Grimmchild thought that Ghost was dead, and never to be seen again. A month later, when she was an adolescent, she happens to find him again, and the two are reunited. Ghost tells her about what happened in the dream realm, and his embracement of the void entity. The Lord of Shades. Ghost eventually meets up with the Grimm Troupe again, and after meeting them, he goes on a new adventure with Grimmchild. They continue to explore the vast kingdom of Hallownest, learning about more of its secrets and meeting old and new friends along the way. The two friends both enjoy exploring Hallownest and collecting flames for the troupe, but soon, Ghost begins to develop a crush on Grimmchild. He always loved it when she was around him, and now he needed to express his feelings for her. What he doesn't know is that Grimmchild feels the same way. Was this feeling love?

After finally coming of age, (Y/N) has decided to leave their small town in hopes of starting a life of their own. They've heard of a nearby kingdom: Hallownest, welcoming to bugs of all kinds and perfect for those searching for new and exciting opportunities. If you haven't beaten at least one of the hollow knight endings (preferably the "true ending"/dream no more ending) there will be spoilers. I do not own hollow knight, that belongs to team cherry. This is just something I did because I was bored. And major spoilers ahead so if you haven't already played hollow knight GO DO THAT RIGHT NOW AND ONLY COME BACK AFTER YOU BEAT RADIANCE. Done? Alright now we can get context. P.S: this story is inspired by 'silent city' by vaarion. That story is infinitely better than this one, so go read it. This story takes place years after the events of the hollow knight "true ending" where the knight defeats the radiance. I wants make everything more human because I'm lazy, so I just used the "its been a few hundred years so yah they are different" excuse. Also this is technically about zombies, just not quite normally. The radiance has been sealed away for as long as it takes between the events of hollow knight, and this story. But now the radiance is starting to infect people's minds, but not through their dreams. This time one zombie kicks off an outbreak, and yah, they spread by biting people. But the radiance isn't the only one who shows up. The knight and the hollow knight reappear magically to deal with this threat. Also a few unexpected other characters appear. And can't forget the government research institute that has taken quite an interest in the void and hallownest though the giant crack that appeared. May be very cringe in the beginning, but bear with me. It does get better. I hope. This cover art does not belong to me.

One day, the King you learned to call The Pale King offered your parents a deal. A promise, one they couldn't refuse. Next thing you know, you're being sent away to the great Kingdom of Hallownest, where you're supposed to both train and marry the Pale King's child, the training as the Pale King's end of the deal, marrying as your parents' agreement. At first, you couldn't help but feel rage, but then you discover that his child is a vessel, born to take on an infection that found Hallownest. So everything will alright, right? You won't have to deal with him for long, and it will be okay, because it's not like you would form a bond with him... Right? Especially now with the Radiance defeated, bugs from all over the world, come to Hallownest for riches and power, including ones, who would kill for it.
