War is an ugly aspect of humanity, we wage war on each other, for power, influence, riches, territory, ideals, religion and freedom. But the human-covenant war, that wasn't a war for any of those, it was a war for the very survival of our species, a enemy who wants nothing but our destruction. My name is Logan Walker, I fought in the Great War since I became of age, I lost friends & family on the way, but in the end their sacrifices were not in vain we manage to win the war after all & I'm still breathing can't say the same for some others though. This is my war journal, I wrote these during incase of the event that I died someone could find it and tell my story, but it was mostly done to keep me calm. (Think of it as a halo version of the 501st journal) Note: This is a halo fanfiction, meaning not everything will be accurate so please don't hate me, also I made up some units, battle groups & etc. And this will only take place in Reach, Halo 2, Halo 3 ODST & a epilogue into halo 4 so yes I am skipping combat evolved pls don't hate me. The UNSC and their newest ally embark on a heavy defensive throughout Earth against the enemy, protecting humanities home planet at all cost. Lieutenant Serenity McKnight and her brothers and sisters in arms do their best to make the best of the war at the African front nearing New Mombasa. Doing so until an unknown mission would begin, deep in the jungle. The story is a 'reimagining' of Halo and is non-canon and is to be not taken seriously as this was an idea created back when I first played the games. Combat Evolved is the first book of my main series known as 'Halo Battle Buddies' and will lead up to the first game and beyond.
