Jay just misses being able to share a room with her, to talk to her, and he would do anything to fix what had gone wrong all those years ago - if only he knew what had happened in the first place. So Jay finally says that he's had enough and takes the matters into his hands, on a quest to gain back the strong relationship he and his niece once had. This story will follow Will Halstead, Jay Halstead and Y/N Halstead. We all know Will as being a Third-Year Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine at Gaffney Chicago, and Jay Halstead as a detective at the 21st district. Y/N Halstead is a 17 year old girl is a senior in high school. She is a grade A student and always does the right thing. Until one day she goes to a party at her friends house to loosen up one weekend and gets drunk. What consequences are to follow?

Will and Jay haven't seen their little sister since they fled their abusive father and their childhood home, leaving her there. Now she has been picked up by Intelligence for drug running at 15 and they have to reckon with what they left behind, and what that turned in to. Emma hasn't forgiven them and doesn't plan to, but the guilt of both her brothers won't let them leave her behind again. Jay does what he has to in order to keep her out the system, but she doesn't make it easy. Her brothers can't let her fall through the cracks again, and are determined to drag her out of her old life, kicking and screaming if they have to. And as it turns out, they might just have to. or Emma doesn't plan on forgiving her brothers for leaving her with their father and has no plans to leave her broken life.
