Mavis Dawson was only 8 years old when she was sold into Haly's circus. "She had read about the circus in books before, the warm and welcoming undeniable fun that it all was, with funny clowns, and beautiful acrobats that all made you feel absolutely comfortable and happy. This place didn't feel like what she read though, there was an almost disturbing evil that loomed over the entire place casting negative energy through the whole area and beyond. Mavis wanted to enjoy it, and figured she soon would once she got comfortable, but looking around at the creepy painted faces and dimly lit attractions she felt anything but comfort and happiness." No one could possibly prepare the young girl for what awaited her beyond the gates of Haly's circus. After all, the circus arrives without any warning. And unfortunately for Mavis, her whole life was a circus.

As the team suits up in their "Daring Dangers" costumes while trying to save the reputation of Haly's Circus, they discover that Robin has been hiding a deep secret. He was once a part of the circus, and there was a reason his family was called the Flying Graysons. #1 flyinggraysons

Dick Grayson's parents survived. Instead of the fall killing them, they were crippled for the rest of their lives, his mother on crutches and his father in a wheelchair. They had to retire, but their son decided to carry on in their footsteps in the circus and become an acrobat. What happens when a new troupe with mysterious intentions joins the circus with chaotic repercussions? I got the idea for this when I realized that no one ever thinks about what would happen if his parents lived. I may or may not have mostly abandoned this story. I had a plot, but getting there was more effort than it was worth.

Growing up as a prodigy aerialist, I always felt like I was flying. What if Batman never came? ~~~~~~~~~~ Dick Grayson has hardened his heart from his time spent in an awful orphanage, after the death of his parents. No one came to save him them and no one will save him now. He never became "Robin," the sidekick to Batman, but what if he is finally given a chance for a better life? After hacking into some small government files, he is offered a spot into Gotham academy, with the condition that he behave.
