Alex had noticed him immediately. Because it's not everyday you see someone so beautiful, so utterly fantastic that you're speechless. And being the blunt asshole he is, he said hi. And then everything changed for both of them.

Ah, College. My name is Alexander Hamilton, and as you can tell by the percentage on my laptop and beat to death computer cords, that I'm an avid writer. Being such a lover of the art of writing, I can't bare to be distracted. But as my new college roommate walks in.. I guess I don't mind a distraction every so often. This boy was charming to say at the least, and was making me question a lot about myself. I can't ask him to help me with my questions, because that would be.. Awkward. I can't tell him. - This is a story about a modern day Hamilton and Laurens who are at the beginning of their college years and happen to room together. I know there are already a number of college AUs, but they always seem to keep me entertained, and so hopefully they will also be for you. I'll try to update every 2 - 3 days

Alexander is poor, but he manages to scrape up enough money to travel to the country where he was offered a scholarship. When he arrives he meets the love of his life at his new school, and everything is going great. Until trouble knocks on his door, Alexander unknowingly invites trouble in, trouble unpacking death threats, affairs, and potential suicides. Can Alexander keep the love of his life while fighting for his rights or will he have to let everything he loves go to see his ex-lover thrive.

This is a lil' one shot I wrote when I was singing a draft I had of "Burn" from Lauren's perspective (reacting to Alexander marrying Eliza ). Everyone needs a little angst now and then, right?
