Caspian Valernius never wanted to become his father. But at fifteen, with a legendary surname hanging from his shoulders like armor too heavy to bear, wanting stopped mattering. Appointed Captain of the Guard far too young, Caspian is thrust into a role built on blood, duty, and impossible expectations. Every victory is measured against King Abraxas. Every mistake feels inherited. And then, he learned of the missing princess. Sent all around the Kingdom of Keolia to search for the king's missing daughter, Caspian spends years chasing rumors, ashes, and ghosts. The farther he travels from home, the more the kingdom begins to rot beneath the surface-whispers of dead gods, strange dreams, and a girl who seems to have vanished from history itself. But when he finally finds Ophelia Delsarte, she is nothing like the princess he expected. She is soft where the court is cruel. Haunted where others are hollow. And somewhere beneath her quiet smile, something ancient is beginning to wake. As memories claw their way back to the surface and the gods turn their attention toward Keolia once more, Caspian is forced to confront the truth: he was never sent to save Ophelia. He was sent to bring her home.

A little story about Hamlet and Horatio falling in love like they should've. I don't exactly know when in the story this would take place but it doesn't really matter, this story is just in good fun! :) This is my first fanfiction after being away from it for about 5(?) years, so constructive criticism/suggestions are greatly appreciated, just please be kind!

Ophelia has just discovered that her former lover, Hamlet, has murdered her father. Ophelia's feelings on the matter are highly conflicted. She still has feelings for Hamlet and she feels as if he has betrayed her, yet she is unsure if Hamlet is even to blame, as some claim he has gone mad. She also feels as if she is betraying her father by continuing to love Hamlet. Her father (Polonius) and brother (Laertes) warned her not to trust Hamlet and she wonders if she should have listened. Ophelia is driven insane by this internal conflict, unsure of her feelings towards her father and towards Hamlet. [This story probably won't make much sense unless you've read Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and at least somewhat understand Shakespearean English]

This is my completely altered version of Hamlet's "To be or not to be" speech. Here is just the first part of it: To read, or not to read: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous literature, Or to take arms against a sea of follies, And by abstaining pass them by? To not read: to sleep; No more Shakespeare; and by sleep to say we sleep soundly

We all know Shakespeare (if you don't you are a stupid arse and I have no idea what the hell you have been doing with you life) This is a collection of Shakespeare quotes. Some are inspirational. Others are sad. And then you have some that are just completely badass. Hope you like it. ~Amelia~

Edith Wharton's "Ethan Frome" is a literary classic that leaves many readers with a single, lingering question: what happened to Ned Hale? Join friends Edward Rochester, Blanche Ingram, Horatio, Starbuck, Billy Bibbit, and Simon and Noah Eastman on their quest to find what really happened to their friend. "The Search for Ned Hale" is a fun, fresh adventure that explores all of your favorite literary characters and their roles in the modern world. Their timeless journey of friendship and the search for closure will leave you wanting more, and wishing that maybe you had actually read the books when Mrs. Stops told you to. Note: this is a story I wrote for a final project for in English. It is an alternate universe story with crossover characters from Jane Eyre, Hamlet, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Moby Dick, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and Ethan Frome.

If Hamlet were Canadian... This is a short story about the temptations of revenge, as well as some of the ramifications. The dream sequence is from the perspective of Ophelia, whose life suffered so many losses as a result of Hamlet Sr.'s conflict with his brother. She lost her lover, her father, her brother, her sanity and, ultimately, her life. So, if King Hamlet needed her forgiveness, how might she respond?

A book of One Shots featuring my favorite characters from some of Shakespeare's stories. None of the One Shots will be following an over-arching storyline unless labeled as such. (I.E. Part 1, Part 2, etc.) I currently am accepting requests. P.M. me if you have any ideas you'd like to share. Thanks for reading. As always, please enjoy.

Hamlet is one of the wildest stories in human history. And it's about to be retold like it's never been told before. A storm brews in the illustrious town of Elsinore, Massachusetts, and no one knows it yet. Not Hamilton "Ham" Dane III, who's angry because his uncle has taken control of the family empire and started dating Ham's mother a mere month after the untimely death of Ham's billionaire father. Not Harry Yeoh, who's desperately in love with his best friend but finding it more and more difficult to hide as dark secrets threaten to destroy their relationship. Not Lia Polonio, who's struggling to find the balance between her feelings and the demands of her controlling father and older brother. And certainly not Rosie Chan or Gil Stern, who think they've just landed the internship that will get them into Harvard, their dream school. But all it will take is one mysterious message-a call for revenge from Ham's late father-for Elsinore to descend into chaos. And once the downward spiral begins, there's no guarantee that everyone will make it out alive. A bold retelling of Hamlet for a modern audience, Allegra M. Walker's sophomore novel puts a fresh new spin on Shakespeare's classic story. Poignant, dramatic, and often darkly humorous, HamLIT is guaranteed to delight teens and young adults. NOTE: This is a (rough, not fully edited) sample of the first few chapters! It's a completed and published novel, so if you're interested, you can find more here: https://books2read.com/HamLIT
