I've been finding myself very obsessed with "The Handmaids Tale" recently, more in particular the lesbian characters because their lives are sufficiently more difficult than the other women's lives. • For anyone who hasn't seen or read the handmaids tale, I strongly suggest you do because it's so so so good!! *But* if you have not don't worry about it, the fanfic will still make plenty of sense :)

This is an alternate ending to the book 'The Handmaids Tale' by Margaret Atwood. It was written for my IOP (individual oral presentation). In this version of the story, the narrator 'Offred' manages to escape her confined life to an unforeseeable future in the fictional Republic of Gilead.
