150 years ago, half of humanity mysteriously transformed into animal-like beings called Hanimals - some kept a mostly human form, others became fully anthropomorphic, and a few turned into full animals with human intelligence and size. The world fell into chaos but eventually adapted, creating a new global order and a special force called S.P.A.R.K. to maintain peace. Divo, a young Christian teacher in peaceful Saint-Martin, lives a quiet life - until a massive rhinoceros Hanimal loses control and attacks his school. Risking everything, Divo crashes his car into the beast to protect the children but is badly injured. Just as the monster charges to finish him off, a powerful and mysterious female Hanimal named Léana appears and saves him. Their meeting will change his life forever.
