But before the present year, 2038, both of them were killed in serious accidents. It was hard to mourn one, but having the other pass away was critical to your mental health. And seeing all the promotion on AI and androids sent you spiraling out, right to the Police Academy. As much as Androids were bad, you learned that humans were worse. But you took your work seriously, as a desperate distraction away from your life. Promoted into a Detective and become one of the youngest and fastest to do so. But when you and a Lieutenant are paired up, only to have a Detective Android show up later to work with the both of you on a case, you freeze up. So you're cold and distant, hoping to get through it as fast as possible. Considering working with an anger management Lieutenant isn't the most fun in the world. A detective is transferred to Detroit, Michigan, from a small town in Missouri. She is assigned as a temporary partner to Lieutenant Hank Anderson's android, Connor. Her first few cases with the android appear to be normal, standard in a way that felt recurring. When she gains the unwanted attention from a long-term serial killer, she is tasked with figuring out a set of twisted games to figure out who this mystery man or woman is. Does she succeed and turn them in, or lose and become their latest victim? Follow along to find out. (The plot is similar in places to A Detective's Twisted Fate that I previously wrote, but I want to spend time genuinely fleshing out the 'game' aspect that I introduced in the fic.)

It started out with short glances at other women that you didn't think much of. Connor had always had a little staring problem, it was never a problem for you though. Everything about him was perfect to you. His voice, the way he always played with that coin, and sometimes even the ring on his finger. But you've started to notice those quick glances lasting longer. And it worried you. - Quick one-shot I've been thinking about lately. I had fun writing this, enjoy!

"Connor, its you're choice." Amanda spoke. "You can become deviant or, stay a machine, just like you was intended to be" She finished. He contemplated his choice of words. "I'm sorry Amanda" he said, walking off. ••• He closed his eyes, walking back into his mind palace. "I have a surprise for you Connor" Amanda announced, smelling one of the deep red roses. "You have been replaced" she spoke again, moving so the newest RK model could be seen. "Amanda...." Connor began. "Hello, Connor" The RK900 spoke. Connors eyes filled themselves with betrayal as he managed to find the strength to open his eyes again.

It wasn't supposed to happen this way. You two were partners for months ever since the deviants, but you had fallen for him. He was not a deviant, so he never had felt loved. Now you were slowly dying of the Hanahaki Disease, and you refused the surgery because you were scared of never feeling love ever again. Now, your other partner, Hank, was just watching you die, and had to keep it from Connor. But could the two keep it from Connor forever?

Howewer, he didn't regret anything. He felt furry, he felt determination. He felt he was alive. '' Detroit, 2039. After the revolution, everything seems to get better and better. Humans and androids are living in relative harmony, things work successfully, but when androids starts to dissapear under mysterious circumstances and are found in pieces after months, Connor has to make a decission. The decission that's about to have its consequences.

As Connor "becomes human" in Hank's company he fights with his own identity, his vague past in another place, his present struggles and his future; Hank. Gavin certainly isn't making it easier for Connor. He must figure out who he is before his time is up. (I update this about once a week. I'm pretty sloooow)

Anderson's back, to solve some suspicious crimes. He never understood why humans made promises they couldn't keep until the woman he loved was dying in his arms.

The android slowly develops feelings for the smartass moron known as Gavin. 'Detective Smartass', or Gavin, starts to feel things for the 'emotionless' android too.

Detroit six months post-revolution is starting to get back to normal. Except for the major rise in anti-android violence taking place across the city. After being locked out of the country for those six months, Andrea Cartier is back in her position as Lieutenant to hopefully make a dent in the anti-android case. But something about her tells Connor there's more to her than what meets the eye. Perhaps he just has a crush on her like Hank keeps telling him. But he's convinced it's something else. After all, is he really convinced there isn't another highly intelligent race that walks among the Earth and looks human?

Androids don't feel. So why then is RK800 experiencing a corruption in his programming after probing the memory of a broken WR400 and what does it mean for his ability to complete his mission?

He knew had to pick a side. If he stayed a machine, he could accomplish his mission. If he became a deviant, he can be just like his moon kissed angel. The Moon already picked a side. She wanted to be with the deviants even if she was human. She always saw how alive the deviants are, but the humans didn't see that in them. She has been on the deviants' side ever since day one. The Android was born with one mission. Help the humans find deviants. He was born a machine and treated like a machine. Not many liked his kind, except for The Moon. After they met, they couldn't think of a life without each other. Neither wanted to live without the other, but now it all depended on The Android. Will he work together with the deviants and The Moon to free his kind? Or will he betray the girl he loves to complete his mission?
