A broke, unemployed girl with a nursing degree who just can't seem to find a job... until she finds an ad in the paper for an insane asylum. The job is as a simple caretaker, so it's not exactly the height of what she could do, but it payed... surprisingly well, and offered a place to stay on nights she was too tired for the two hour drive between the asylum and her apartment. It was too good to pass up. Or at least, it SEEMED like it was, until she found out about the patients.

[A missing scene showing Hannibal dealing with his grief over Will's betrayal. Takes place right after Primavera.] Hannibal missed Will. Obsessively so. Far more than he had anticipated when he first drove the blade of his knife shallow into Will's gut, carving his goodbye just above the younger man's bellybutton before fleeing into the rainy night. Will was really the only thing he thought about these days, the younger man still managing to take up residence in his heart and mind, even from halfway around the world.

I am going to therapy now, which is great, but my therapist is slightly strange. In a good way. I almost want to be his friend, listening about his stories rather than just talking of my own.

What's the first thing you think of when you hear the name Hannibal Lecter? You might think of a psychopathic serial killer willing to be a criminal consultant for FBI agents often looking for the worst killers out there. After all, it takes a psychopathic killer to know a psychopathic killer. Hannibal Lecter has appeared in four novels created by Thomas Harris, five live action movie adaptations (two of which are adaptations of Red Dragon), and a television series on NBC. Harris's final novel (as of 2024) brought Hannibal to his origins as we see what made this doctor become the infamous cannibal we know and love to hate, that novel being Hannibal Rising, published in 2006. Hannibal Rising was then adapted into a movie released in 2007, but unlike Silence Of The Lambs, the prequel was a box office bomb and panned by critics and fans alike. What made this prequel with such potential fail so badly? In this non-fiction review, I will give my personal perspective as to why I think Hannibal Rising failed when it had so much potential to work. Now this is based on my personal opinion, and if you don't agree, that's okay.

An AU where Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy did in fact share a kiss during the final scene in Hannibal. (In my opinion this isn't even an AU cause Bryan Fuller said Mads was 'leaning in for smooches' in the *uncut* version of the deleted scene... But who knows 👀) Mainly features Angst, Fluff, a hint of humour and a lot of the supposed smooches so enjoy ;)
