Story One set during Hannibal Rising.
In the Lector family there had been a story passed from parent to child for as long as could be remembered. A tale of a fierce warrior, a woman who had nothing to loose. She feared not death or dying, she bowed to no one and never backed down. She was fierce and nurturing, intelligent and cunning. The original Lector met the woman one day in the woods upon a hunting trip when he was suddenly surrounded by a pack of snarling wolves who fell silent at her presence. He fell hard for the feral beauty who cared not what society or anyone else believed of her. She was wild and free and had long dark burgundy curls with pale freckled skin and bright shocking blue green eyes that swirled and glowed.
She fell for the man and aloud him to bring her into his house where she made it a home. The couple loved one another fiercely and spent all their time together but as the years carried on the Original Lector saw the brilliant glow to her eyes fade causing them to shift to a dull hardened pale blue, the two had a wonderful life together but the Lector man loved the woman so much even in that love he regretted taking her from the wild and letting the glow of pure freedom fade from her eyes. The man never forgave himself for caging the woman because of his selfish desire for her to always be with him instead of loving her from afar where he could watch her do as she was always meant to, glow brighter then the sun.
What if Hannibal never fell for Muraski but for a young woman living in France and going to school full time? A woman who was intelligent and had a smile that disarmed him with startling blue-green eyes that lured him in and a dusting of freckles he wanted to do nothing more then to count.
How different would his story have turned out if he found a love so pure it made him sleep soundly at night? Would he never turn into the monster or would he have a friend in darkness that accompanied him?
AU: Hannibal/OFC Romance.
