It's 30 years after Moonwatcher and the Jade Winglet ran off, abandoning Jade Mountain for adventure. I mean, yeah, they came back, but whatever. This is about Bronze Winglet. With the war gone, there have been more living, healthy dragonets, meaning more students for Jade Mountain Academy. In turn, the teachers added another Winglet. The name? You already know. Bronze Winglet. Unfortunately for the teachers, the Bronze Winglet is going to be just as much trouble as the first Jade Winglet was. When their (fake) prophesying NightWing, Dreamcatcher, warns the group of upcoming problems, the dragonets decide to take matters into their own talons. Jobs have never been more hard to get. A college education is all that Jen needs to become a marine engineer, her only goal. At the only shot she had at a scholarship, she literally blew it. While her inventions could be amazing, she's going to need a lot more then a work partner to keep her company.

Jen has dreamed to be a marine engineer, but her bank account says otherwise for college. While trying to earn a giant science scholarship at the end of her high-school senior year, her 'husk' accidentally catches fire and burns down the whole building with its ever-burning crimson flames. She graduates without a plan and only an idea and a partner at her side, but she quickly learns that working on this science project can get difficult even with a friend at her side.
