It's raining - hard. The kind of rain that soaks through your soul.
Miya walks alone, her hoodie up, heart heavy. She hasn't spoken to Andre in weeks. Things ended badly - his secrets, his coldness, his refusal to open up when she needed him most. He pushed her away, and she let him. She was done fighting for someone who wouldn't fight for her.
But now, there he is.
In the middle of the parking lot. Drenched. Waiting.
He sees her and walks up fast, then slows when she stops. Without saying a word, he drops to his knees - in the pouring rain - looking up at her with pleading eyes that once held only distance.
Andre (kneeling in the rain, rain pouring, voice trembling):
"I'm sorry I hurt you, ma belle... I swear, I didn't mean to. I was scared. I was stupid. And I pushed you away when all I really wanted was to hold you closer."
"You didn't deserve my silence. You didn't deserve my coldness. But I swear I felt something real - something I haven't let myself feel in years."
"We don't have to rush. We can start over. I just... I need you back in my life."
(He stands slowly, water dripping from his lashes as he looks her in the eye.)
"I promise you, on everything I am, I'll change - for you."
(Before she can speak, he gently pulls her in, kisses her - slow and trembling. She doesn't fight it. She melts, her hands gripping his soaked shirt as the rain keeps falling around them.)
They stand there in silence, soaked and breathless - two broken people, piecing themselves back together in the rain.
