This story deviates after the battle in Lioness, where instead of killing Helbram a third time when Helbram begs him too, he finds another way to save Helbram. The Fairy King Harlequin is distraught over the fact he had to kill his best friend; Helbram, and is the reason he got branded as the Sin of Sloth. Harlequin has no idea that a Holy Knight in Lioness has bought his friend's body from a black auction and is going to force him to fight as a holy knight, which triggers their eventual reunion. Harlequin is devastated to find out his friend is being used against him, and old feelings resurface, confusing Harlequin. Harlequin knows he is in love with Helbram, and vows that, this time, no matter what, he will save Helbram.

As they kept looking around, the only that they ended up finding was a dead body from one of their people, unfortunately for them, this was a trap set to capture them, the fairy king was stabbed while Elaine got hit at the back of her neck. As they fell inside the crevasse, they both heard someone scream their name before passing out.
