Egon is on the edge of sanity, the storage facility is getting crowded and he feels that soemthing big is about to try and destroy them - something worse than Gozer. As well as making sure the Ghostbusters stay safe, Egon has to deal with the romantic tension that has been growing between him and Janine Melnitz...but something's coming for them, for the entire city. The thirty-sixth entry of the 2020-2021 Film Journal is yet another anticipated picture delayed by the pandemic, "Ghostbusters: Afterlife". In this special installment, I chronicle the rise and fall of my deep love and passion for the "Ghostbusters" series, the events leading to me sitting in the theater for this flick, and this film's clear failures and shocking successes in probably the most fun time I had at any multiplex in all of 2021.

It was never supposed to happen. Trevor and Phoebe weren't supposed to find out the way that they did about the legacy of their grandfather.
