Daniel Howell is a muggle-born Slytherin.
Philip Lester is a pure-blood Hufflepuff.
Dan thinks that Phil is "too good" to talk to a muggle-born like him.
Phil thinks Dan is "too proud" to talk to a Hufflepuff like him.
After all, Dan is a Slytherin. According to Draco Malfoy, Slytherins shouldn't converse with Hufflepuffs, or any other house besides their own.
And, after all, Phil is a pure-blood. Isn't he too good to talk to a muggle-born like Dan? Aren't pure-bloods supposed to only be friends with other pure-bloods?
And aren't Hufflepuffs and Slytherins supposed to not get along? Due to their personality traits and the fact that their houses are complete opposites?
Right?
