Why should he be forced to play a role in a war that was not of his making, to prostrate himself for the Light and be hailed their saviour when they had never done anything for him? It all seemed so unfair. And so, one day, Harry made a decision. He was done with the Light. He was done with being their pawn. It was time for him to take control of his own destiny. He began to entertain the idea of bargaining with the Dark Lord, of taking a different path than the one his friends and mentors had laid out for him. Harry became Aldwyn Salazar Slytherin, a name that would strike fear in the hearts of the Light wizards who had always dismissed him as nothing more than a simple Gryffindor. He embraced his Slytherin heritage and took his rightful place as the Heir to the Dark Sect. But how would the Light react when they were faced with a new threat? How would they cope with the fact that their beloved Harry Potter had turned his back on them, become the Dark Prince? The answer was simple: they would be terrified. For the first time, the Light wizards would be forced to confront the fact that there was another side to the story. They couldn't simply paint everything in black and white, good vs. evil. Harry, or Aldwyn as he was now known, had a valid point - why should he continue to fight for a cause that had never fought for him?
