My Story So Far...

While dealing with the loss of her best friend Officer Meghan Harley has to bring the guilty to justice. Along the way she comes face to face with ghosts from her past and crushing grief. Only by allowing people into her life can she hope to succeed.

Angel Woods is a mute girl. She wasn't born that way. When she was three, the girl witnessed her mother commit suicide. Having slashed her own wrist, her mother had told Angel to stay quiet. Continuing to say so until her death.  It was Angel’s birthday that night. Grief stricken her father became a reckless gambler and an alcoholic. Due to his bad habits, money was a hard thing to come by. And thus, Angel would live up too her name and help out where she could. Although she attended school regularly, Angel had many part-time jobs (seven to be exact.) Now, to see how this all turns out. Why did her mother commit suicide? How will she balance school and work? Will someone understand her and actually help her? And to top it all off: ~Will she ever be able to speak again?~

"A boys best friend" is about a boy and his dog. A story detailing a boys harsh past, and growing up his closest friend was his dog. Battling expectations by his parents knowing they aren't perfect themselves, his mom being mentally unstable and his dad being an alcoholic. Growing Up with a dog as your best friend is quite embarrassing but the boy didn't know how to talk to anybody really, he was a socially awkward kid. He really didn't know how to talk to anybody nor did he want to upset anybody by talking to them. He had a lot of trauma affecting him and his future, as one would if they had parents such as his.
