Prompt: OT4 (Hi, it's S.O.N.I.C here! There isn't an actual prompt for this story because I just had a blackout [well, people here call it that, but I think over in other countries, you call it a power outage?] at my place of residence not even a few hours ago from posting this! Robin Rathaway would like to point out one thing: Alien invasions SUCK. Like all caps SUCK. Because they do. And the worst thing is, she's supposed to be the one dealing with it. Cisco has to cut his hair and Hartley's world is turned metaphorically upside down by this change.

"I know every move that you are going to make before you make it." Her voice was serious about it and not joking, like some may have thought her voice would be. "It's impossible! Who are you??" The Metahuman shouted desperately, as the girl had avoided another one of his attacks and her entire body appeared to be surrounded by an unearthly purple glow. This is a fanfiction about Hartley Rathaway from The Flash. Riley Wells, Harrison's daughter works at Star Labs with Caitlin, Cisco and Barry. She used to date this "not so loved" boy named Hartley. He died in the particle accelerator explosion... or did he?...

Everything starts to go wrong the day Cisco Ramon enters his life, or so he thinks at the time (things go wrong before that, Hartley later realizes - much much later once he has a more level-headed perspective on events). Things also get a lot more complicated and that doesn't ever stop being the case. The story (work in progress) of how everything left in Hartley's life crumbles around him and how he builds it up again, in two very different ways.
